Font & Doors
The 15 foot bronze doors and surround, the major portal into the chapel, portray Saint Thomas immediately before his death on July 6th, 1535. Thomas recites Psalm 50 asking God for mercy and the creation of a new heart. He turns toward his executioner. They face each other. As the doors open, the two separate. Thomas' final words were: "I die the King's good servant but God's first."
