The Feeding of the Mulititude

John Collier created this Tapestry for St. Frances X. Cabrini Church in El Paso, Texas.  The faces seen in the work reflect the diversity of the congregation at St. Frances.

The Feeding of the 4,000.  This story which appears only in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, is also known as the miracle of the seven loaves and fishes.  The Gospel of Matthew refers to seven loaves and a few small fish which Jesus used to feed a multitude.
